He graduated from the University of Bristol (2002), and subsequently worked in the Community Dental Service during which time he gained invaluable experience looking after patients apprehensive and anxious about dental treatment.
After hospital posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and working in general dental practice, Neel undertook 4 years of specialist training in Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, in London. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Dentistry, with Distinction, and was awarded the UCL Dental School Commemorative Prize for clinical and academic excellence in Prosthodontics.
He subsequently accepted a scholarship from the International Team for Implantology (ITI) to undertake a 2 year Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Centre for Implant Dentistry at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA.
In addition to providing routine and general dentistry for his patients and their families, Neel has extensive experience in all aspects of complex restorative, reconstructive and implant dentistry. As such, dental colleagues regularly refer their patients to him for both the maintenance of dental implant supported crowns/bridges and the management of complications related to them.
Neel is actively involved in post-graduate dental education. He presents both locally and nationally on topics related to Restorative and Implant Dentistry and is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol, involved with the university’s MSc in Dental Implantology programme.
In addition to spending time with his young children and family, he enjoys playing cricket and travelling.
